Help, unable to find a plugin with desired feature

Hi there forum!


Third bump, fourth edit, getting there.....so:


Have definetly looked long enough, there aren't many scripts to feature this game mechanic Im looking for.


Also, I consider it would be easier to ask for a tutorial or a script template with instructive notes, than an actual script request on this one.


 I'm simply looking for a menu to customize your characters parameters individually, taking out the regular leveling up system. Instead imagine you earn some X points for grinding that you can spend as gold to buy or unlock your next level for each individual parameter of your character, which is totally an actual event (increase parameter). 


So as an example, you acces the menu and you have HP SP ATTACK and DEFENSE at level 0, and it costs 5 "power points" each to unlock level 1, so if you have 20 "power points" you can level up by one those parameters.


I hope I was able to explain myself here, just in case I also made a script request, but Im hungry for knowledge! so also see it as if you were helping a scripter wannabe, more than some ocassional RPG Maker user.

Sounds like a script request to me, unless you're actually planning to write it yourself and just want a bit of help along the way.


What you're talking about sounds kinda familiar, so it might be worth doing a search to see if such a script already exists for XP.  I don't know what it would be called though - maybe others have some suggestions or know of one or two.

 I have the idea it should be relativelty simple to script that one, so yes it would be great to have some pointers on how to do it. I've watched some tutorials already but none specifically for my scenario, so right now I'm just kinda guessing and would like to have guidance to avoid hours of unecessary frustration figuring out by myself . So yes, in part is to learn how to do it myself in the future instead of having to request a script and just wait and see.
