Hi guys

This might seem lazy, ive been trying to get animated enemies to work with Victors animated battler so enemies are animated to with idle pose, attack pose etc etc

but cant Seem to get the hang of it.

is it possible to get someone Who has it working, to make a small demo with game file, so i Can se how the h*** its suppossed to be set up in the script section, sprites and folders etc. ?

I use rpg maker vx ace

Im kind of a "see how it works, to know how it works"-kinda guy.

not asking for a full game or full battle with tons of animations and skills, just one enemy and one actor animated with a single skill.

Hope for help from you guys as im completely lost and frustrated (for over a Month now)

Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly, Victor has a manual for that script on his page - specifically because it is not easy to use. Have you found that manual and worked through it?

Yeah, the script is pretty hard to understand. I've been using it for over a year and a half now and I still have trouble sometimes. If you want the enemy to be animated like the battlers are, all you have to do is is import the graphics you want to use ($Graphic_1 $Graphic_2 etc) into the battler folder. Then in the script itself where it has all of your actors listed make one for the enemy you want to be animated EX: '$Ayami'   => {frames: 3, rows: 4, mirror: true, invert: false, mode: :charset, action: :kaduki},

Then create the battler as you would normally, while making the battler's graphic the first in the actors graphic set ($Graphic_1)

In the note box you'll have to set the battler's name to the same one that's listed on the actor's graphics as well a in the script. EX:

<battler name: $Ayami>
<attack pose: sword1> References which animation should be played when attacking normally
<weapon 1: 5537> References which Icon should be used as the battler's weapon and in which hand it should appear in.

I'd highly recommend reading through the manual a couple of times to wrap your head around how this all works. I'm personally the type that learns better from experimenting rather than being told how to do it, but even so, this script requires good knowledge of how everything works to get the results you want.

Hope this helps.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
