hello I'm looking for help to create a game that combines the mechanics of platforms and turn base fights.


the exploration is performed on platforms then when you hit an event enter in the battle mode like usually do.


this is an example of what i looking for the "exploration part":

for this iI thought it might work the arc engine, but after seen the demo i really  dont know, i tested with a sheet made by myself


that its bigger than the usal ones, and the system only detects the feet...and theres no followers.


I'm trying to figure out if theres a way to put bigger hit boxes for the events, use followers and change the animations for jump, 


(crouch,jump and land) for especial interaction i think with event route "change graphic" It's enough.

for scripts im using just parallax, particles, multi frames, and combat theos bts


if some one can guide me I would be very grateful.  :D

Why don't you use Player Touch as Trigger?


When you touch the event, the event will start


If this is not what you are looking for, then try this:


(should be working with arc engine too)

I think he is trying to make the events larger (hitbox, as you have provided in the link) because otherwise with sprites bigger than 32x32 they get a little weird when touching and you want them to trigger.

thanks to both of you!! this might work, you think if i made a common event every time the player press "A" change the character graphic for the jump animation it could work?

It will not work. Because the graphic may be jumping but the character not.


Arc Engine already has jump feature,  for what do you need common event?

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
