Hi, uh, this is my first thread on ANY forum so forgive me if I'm doing this incorrectly--
In the 2003 engine, I'm trying to make it so my battle sprite leaps towards the enemy as I've seen a few other games made with the same engine do. (Here's what I mean, one battler jumps forward and another runs directly into the enemy ) I've been poking around the internet and that game's files but I still don't know what I need to turn on or off in order for my sprites to do the same. However, when I say "few other games" I mean fangames that basically took that game and put their not-so-great-OCs in it without changing much else so I'm pretty sure those devs don't know how to enable this either.
Is this something that's exclusive to that particular game or is this a feature? If so, how do you make that happen?
And about the custom controls, I've also seen this feature in two other unrelated games where if you press the shift button your character will do something. Like in Yume Nikki, Madotsuki will strike a different pose, teleport back to her bedroom or do something else if you press shift. In Continue/Stop/Rise, whatever character you're playing as will make a noise or change sprites upon hitting the shift key. How does one go about doing that?
