Hey guys, how are ya? Sorry If you've already answered this question, but I'm a little desperate here (since I have no great knowledge on the subject) and I would like some help if possible. I'm trying to make a horror game and I'm having a bit of trouble with an event. I want a chase to happen in a room, after a small talk with the actor and when i get out of the room the actor will be gone, and last, can I have the hero talk to himself when the event is over (in the same room)? I would appreciate some assistance. Thanks in advance!

By Actor, do you mean NPC? "The actor is gone" means the NPC is no longer in the room, or someone is removed from your party?

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the NPC is no longer in the room after he chases me. (no party member)

kingsargaroth, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

What you want is very basic eventing - you use a switch upon leaving the room, and the event pretending to be the NPC should have a second page without sprite conditioned on that switch.

I suggest you follow the link in my signature to the starting point tutorial and work through the tutorials listed there.

Switches and variables are the most basic building blocks for anything more complex than a go-there quest, and you need to understand them before you can make your game.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
