Here is a picture of my map:

Basically, I want my cut scene event to begin when the player walks over the tile on the bottom of the stairs, on the left tile (the staircase is two tiles wide).
My problem is that if the player walks down the stairs on the right side (the right tile), they would miss stepping on the tile that triggers the cut scene altogether.
Is there a way to put an event on the bottom right stair tile that would move the player one tile to the left, and then the cutscene event would trigger? I have played around and can't find a way to make it work.
I could make two seperate events, one for each possibility of tile (right or left side) that the player might walk over, but thought there may be an easier way.
