Help with Events

Hello! I was hoping i can get help making a kind of event.

I have RPG Maker VX Ace, and Im trying to figure out how I can make exclamations (Balloon Icon) go off on walk over at the same time as having an action button triggered event (in the same spot). I would totally appreciate that!

I'm not sure I understand the issue. You can have a balloon icon appear over the player or event. What does it do for you?

Set event to be "Action Button Trigger"
Created second page "Bulloon Icon" when player "touches".

Itll create the balloon icon. But it wont be action button trigger for dialogue.

If that is the case, then the first page will never work. The page that meets the condition will be the one that runs. Starting from the last page. so here there are no conditions set for either page so page 2 will always run.

You need to give the command for the balloon from a different event.
There is no need to give it from the same event, but you should placed a wait on that parallel process to reduced lag.

Sorry to jump in here, but I noticed something.

If that is the case, then the first page will never work. The page that meets the condition will be the one that runs. Starting from the last page. so here there are no conditions set for either page so page 2 will always run.

In the tutorials I've watched/read/played I've seen this described in opposite ways. Ie, some of them say what you said, that the later page (higher number) runs by default, and others have said exactly the opposite (or at least that's what it looked like to me), that the lower number earlier pages run first.

Which is it? And why am I seeing differences?

well you can see from my pictures there, the second page runs. this was tested just before I took the pictures.

It is (and has always been) highest page number = highest priority.
If a tutorial says something else, then either you misread the tutorial or the tutorial that says differently is simply wrong.
