If your friend has a Windows PC, you can simply make an archive of the project folder and send that.

Otherwise, use the deployment of MV to create the gamefiles you need to send.

However, this has nothing to do with commercial discussions as you don't indicate you want to sell your friend the game?

I've moved this thread to MV Deployment. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

If it's a demo for just your friend to see and use, render what you have, put it into a Zip File folder, and email it to them.

If you want to share it with everyone else as well, render what you have, upload it to a game sharing site (I use itch.io. It's free!) and tell people.

Make sure you convert it into the proper program setting. i.e., if they have a MAC, render it as a MAC project. Or you do multiple if you share it with the world.

The base project does not contain an exe because it is intended to be run in a browser - even if you package it, the exe is only a browser program wrapped around the game.

Have your friend look for the index.html and launch that.

When they loaded it, it said Failed to load: Data/actors/json

Then they either don't have all files in the structure, or mixed up things somewhere. Can you link the archive so that we can check it, to see if the error is on your side or on the player's side?

Actually, that error, "Failed to load: Data/actors/json", comes up because MV doesn't, as a rule of thumbs in cyber security, open directly from HTML. I'm having the same problem with getting an EXE file out of deployment. I check the folders again and again, but nothing, just the same old MV file, not an exe. I deploy and it makes a 'WWW' file and I use Enigma Protector but it doesn't pick up any EXE files cause there's nothing there. Is this user fault? or a glitch?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
