Oh god. I am really sorry for posting like 4 different threads today. ._.'

Anyway, this is gonna be my last thread. I PROMISE.

This time, i'm putting the tiles in, but I can't put the computer ontop of the desk like in the image shown in the store page.

Instead it like puts it on the wall.

I'll put the images of my screen, and the one in the advertisement..

It's probably an event with the graphic on it. Or is there another tile in the tileset that has the computer on the desktop?

Event with a graphic? o:

I searched for it, but no I didn't see one. It's both separate.

Create an event on the map, and use the computer sprite from the tileset as the event's graphic. Only the desk gets drawn on the map.

I'm only guessing that's how it was done, as you can't place two tiles from the B-E tabs on top of each other.

Still doesn't work. It just overlaps the desk.

IS the event ON the desk, or above the desk? I thought you were TRYING to get it to overlap the desk?

The event is on the desk. It's not ontop of the desk like I want it to be. It's just doing this

If I put the event on the tile above, it just does the same picture as the picture in my first post.

I'm pretty sure that the computer on desk is done with parallax mapping. The reason I say this is because (from what I have noticed) the maps generally used to showcase tilesets are created using parallax mapping and because of where the example image has the desk in relation to the floor tiles. If you want this look you might need to learn parallax mapping or use a photo editing software to clump the two items together how you want them.

Okay, yeah, I see what you mean. Yes, that map was done with parallax mapping. You can tell by all the stuff on the dressing table, and the way the toys on the floor overlap the furniture.

Since there is no TileC, TileD or TileE, you could make your own, and "parallax" the tiles from B into an arrangement you're happy with (so you're just creating new tiles to use, not parallaxing the whole map).

Thanks for the help! Though, I saw guides and videos on parallax mapping, this looks reaally confusing. I'll try it though.\

If you are new to this, I suggest you follow Shaz's advice and just make a combined tile for this, rather than think you have to do a whole map.  Once you have the tile, you can use it in other maps, which makes it a more flexible option too.

Alright. Does anyone have a tutorial for just the file? I can't seem to find it, as I am only finding ones for the whole map.

All tiles are on tilesheets with several dozen tiles per sheet. Check the database to find the tilesheet with the table and with the computer, then use a grafics program to copy the computer over the tile of the table, preferrable in a new position with previously unused tiles.

Save and import the resulting tilesheet.

Go to the basic tutorials in the site's support section (not the forum), there are several PDFs about making tiles there

I'm not sure what you mean by "a tutorial for just the file".  Which file?  Or do you mean editing a couple of individual tiles such as was suggested?

If you mean the second, open up the tile sheet in an image program like Photoshop, GIMP (does more or less what Photoshop does, but is free), Paint.net or similar.

Select the tiles you want and arrange them onto a new blank tile set sheet (512 x 512 pixels), remembering to keep to the 32 x 32 grid size that Ace uses.  Then save it with a suitable name and use the Resource Manager to import it to Graphics/Tilesets.

EDIT

That tile is TileB, I believe. This is no TileC, TileD, or TileE. So just copy TileB to TileC (in your file system, not in the tilesets tab) then edit it in a graphics program that allows transparency (so not MS Paint) and preferably one that will let you draw a 32x32 pixel grid to help with lining up. Then delete everything that you DON'T want, move the desk to the top left corner (or rather, one tile below), then copy the computer and place it over the desk. Save, edit your Tileset in the database, and add TileC into the Tile C slot.
