Getting back into my Earthquake Warriors RPG. I'm trying to keep the RPG interesting, and right now I'm trying to incorporate a password into a section where the characters find themselves in a backalley, and need to state a password to get in. ...But I'm not sure how the Key Input Passwords work. I've used this program for years, but this is a feature I've never used. Could someone help me out.

I usually make empty character and use the conditional branch function: actors name is...
You can use input name then for the password.

But would I be able to make an event work if I use the correct word, but reject me if I use the wrong one?

Yes, there is an option in conditional branch "set handling if conditions do not apply".

You can use Conditional Branches like @Lornsteyn said, or use Conditional Branches to check the value of a variable.

On my game you need to insert the right numerical password to proceed. Explaining is a bit hard so I will copy/paste the screen here.

Alright, I got the password system set up, but... ...When I delete a letter in the name input after making a mistake, and it deletes two letters. The cursor also happens to be two letters wide. I don't know if it's my computer or the version I'm using, though. Other then that, it works.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
