Hello !
When planning for my first game I came to MP system and decided to use


MP Redgeneration system. Where in combat, MP bar fills each turn so that limits using skills and makes it stratigical. The player doesn't fear of running out of MPand he is encouraged to use his


skills but he should know how to use them during battle and to plan well whther to use


weak skills or conserve MP for stronger skills.
Outside combat, MP fills by steps. But I have some points and problems I want to discuss


here since I didn't play many RPGs especially modern ones.


1- Is it better to make MP regens  per turn by certain rate of MaxMP or constant


number?


2- How to deal with MP outside combat?
Is it good to make MP fills by steps? and if so, by rate or constant?
This throw a problem where PCs can use skills with no limit to heal for example.
just player has to walk to get MP. So Do I have to use Auto-Heal on end of battles to


remove Heal skill spamming?


If there are any thoughts and advices on this topic then I am happy to listen.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
