Help with sprites

I'm trying to make a spritesheet for a character i'm going to be using in a sidescrolling Lisa-esque RPG I'm undergoing and cannot for the life of me get it to work correctly, I, uh, could someone take the sprites and rework them to fit the RPGmaker VX Ace format? or give me a small tut on how the hell i can make this work?

the important part of any RPG-Maker Sprite is not the size but the structure.
A single sprite has to be 3x4 cells, where you made 4x2 cells. Single sprites need to have a $ at the beginning of the filename.
A spritesheet has to have 4x2 sprites for a total of 12x8 cells, same as the spritesheets for most actors and NPCs in the game.

Other structures cannot be used unless you rewrite the engine by scripts, but all existing scripts are usually based on the same structures.

To add, if you're trying to add to the existing character set's you're going to want to use 32X32 for the sprite image.

So doing a full set would look something like the image attached.

I used your sprite for example and clean it up a bit, it might work for what you want.

That was really helpful, thanks so much! I couldn't tell you how many spritesheets I've scrapped because of this lame and very beginner problem I keep running into

The default character sprite is 32X32 for each image making up the walking character. So that's the size you want to make your sprite to match the games default.

Edit: A full sheets size is 384x256 then you just fill in your sprites that are 32x32

Did you try the edit I did for you?
