I downloaded the plugin here.

Does someone know if it's possibile to distinguish which picture is clicked during an event? I mean, given this..

1675721545197.png

Picture 1 and 2 are linked to the same common Event with ID=1. When The common event runs, it has no idea of which picture gets clicked, and executes fully.

I'd like something like
"if picture 1 gets clicked do this"
"if picture 2 gets clicked do that"

Do i absolutely need to write a different event for each picture? could become very nasty if the choices are a lot...

And/or do i need javascript? I have no idea of how to use it unfortunately

Thank you.

Well... I see both pictures trigger common event 1...

What if picture 1 triggers common event 1 and picture 2 triggers common event 2?

If that common event is a large event, and the pictures only make it run slightly different, you can do this:

picture 1 triggers common event 1
picture 2 triggers common event 2

Common event 1 set var X to 1
then runs common event 3

Common event 2 set var X to 2
then runs common event 3

Now event 3 is the main common event, and you can use a condition "var X = 1 or else" to see if it is picture 1 or picture two that is clicked.

Hope that solved your problem.

Thank you for your reply, but No. As i said, I would be forced to write N common events, one for every choice. And they're gonna be something like 100+. I would like to write all in the same common event, if possible.

Also... If i may say.. what would be the need of common event 3? If i am in common event 1, i perfectly know picture 1 is clicked, and i could do what i need to do

Perhaps their Picture Choices plugin would better fit your needs. It unfortunately requires you to give the player a 'choice window' type thing, but you can visually display it as pictures. Other than that it acts like a normal choice window. Meaning you can assign a value to the same variable, and then use the event command to call a common event. Then they'll all use the same common event, same variable, etc...

In the end it's what i wanted to do, a choice system menu. Yes, seems better and.. poor me, i have to pay it again. Thank you for showing it to me.

By the way.. there's no way to make more than 6 choices in mz, am i right?

There is. I believe with VisuStella, if you put 1 Choice Command in the event menu, followed immediately by another Choice Command, it'll extend it. Extended Choices.
It is part of their Message Core plugin, so this one is free.

You're gonna have 100+ pictures on the screen at once? Oh... Well, good luck with that. :p

Common event 1 and 2 would only be used to identify the picture clicked. The whole event would run in common event 3.
