Trying to get this plugin to work. I made a new project, so I know it's not incompatibility with my other plugins. Doesn't seem to matter if I use the default formula or something crazy like 1000, the actor with the note tag still only does the same damage as those who don't. Any help with this would be appreciated, or if there are alternative ways to achieve a similar effect that would work too.

<barehanded> is what it said in the help file. Tried <barehand> too just in case, but still no luck.

<barehanded> is what it said in the help file. Tried <barehand> too just in case, but still no luck.

Cool, it says <barehand> on the linked forum post "how to use" segment, so I just figured it'd be worth a shot :D

When I call it BareHanded.js it works, when I call it Bare.js it ceases to work. Did you name it BareHanded, with the capital B and H? Case sensitivity is sometimes important.

The only other explanation I can think is that you're trying to use it in MZ and not MV.
Yeah it's capitalized. And I don't even own MZ so that can't be the problem.

Let's just go down the checklist, assuming a completely new project with nothing changed except for adding the plugin.

Your plugin folder looks like this? And BareHanded.js looks like this?

And when you unequip his weapon you're saying it doesn't look like this? Without the plugin it becomes 16.

Hold on, are you using the battle test before saving the project? Battle test doesn't pick up plugins before saving the project.
Yeah that all looks correct. I need it to be on the class, though I also tested it on the actor but it still didn't work. And yeah I saved before testing.

Ditto. It works perfectly for me put into a new project. The plugin is named BareHanded and the notetag is <barehanded> and I see the change on my actor.

Are you making sure to start a new play test game, not load a save file?

Are you running the latest version, 1.6.2 of MV?

My only other thought is to post some actual screenshots, not these tiny cropped things. We might notice something in the rest of the screen.

So I'm still not sure what the the problem was but I managed to fix it. I deleted the plugin and redownloaded it and now it works just fine.
