Help with Yanfly.

Hi. I'm new to using the Yanfly engine to make my game just that bit nicer.


But you see, my problem is I don't know how to get it to work.


I believe I have to correct scripts and such, but every time I start up my game to test the engine, This message comes up:





What do I do?


Or have I done something wrong.

i am not sure if you noticed this forum for MV version


or you trying to use ace version for MV

Looks to me like you made an error in your paste - perhaps you copied the numbers off of a pastebin or find-all or something like that, because I don't think there should be a "10" at the start of that line.


More than likely this problem is all over your script or even in many of your scripts - you will need to redo the copy-paste and make sure you don't copy anything you're not supposed to (such as a pastebin ToS or line numbers).

Javascript is for RMMV, but both the script you linked and the engine you set in your profile is for Ace, which uses RGSS3.


That said, errors like yours happen because you made a mistake in copying the script - either missing lines, added wrong line numbers (like here) or placed it at the wrong slot in the script editor etc. I suggest you follow the link "how to use a script" in my signature and learn how to handle that better, and what to take care of while copying.
