The Author is actually KAL posted on RPGMakervxace.net back in 2012
Allows the use of the change battleback command in battle
I had to use the internet archive to get the actual page where it was posted.

#Here try this:

class Game_Interpreter

  alias_method :command_283_orig_kal, :command_283
  def command_283
    command_283_orig_kal
    if SceneManager.scene.is_a?(Scene_Battle)
      scene = SceneManager.scene
      scene.spriteset.dispose_battleback1
      scene.spriteset.dispose_battleback2
      scene.spriteset.create_battleback1
      scene.spriteset.create_battleback2
    end
  end
end

class Scene_Battle
  attr_reader :spriteset
end
#The Change Battleback command should work in battles too now.

To say "it doesn't work" is not helpful as we have no way of knowing what has gone wrong. It could be one of many things.

Tell us exactly what happened. Did you get an error message?

@BrunoAlex0309 this is not whatsapp.
if you have something to say, think about it beforehand and write it down in it's entirety.
your error message comes from a third party source that nobody knows anything about.
we can't read your mind.
*construct* an answer.

I'm lost here.
I find that amusing and annoying.
I guess the date provided with it wasn't any clue.
sorry to confuse you.

i think no (doesnt work the fix)
No I did not change anything I just posted the original code after I found it on the internet.

The basic issue is that the game has a lot of bugs, like you found.
You need to apply the patch, which overwrites the scripts file.
The link for it was on the same page where you got the game file itself.
Extract the data.rar file into the game project folder overwriting the original files in the data folder.
Then you should not have any problems. But you may need to start a new game.
The script you mentioned at the start is not in the patch. It was removed.

@Roninator2 I saw "try this" on the note... IDK if that was you or the original script.
my reasoning being, that "scene" there was definitely to blame.
I saw a check for scene and what seems to be an error handler, I assumed it was a fix.

I can't think about any scenario why #command_283 would ever be executed when SceneManager's @scene instance of Scene_Battle hasn't defined its #spriteset yet. But okay, this is what you need to insert directly below where the temporary local variable scene is defined as SceneManager.scene:

Ruby:
      return unless scene.spriteset

This line will cancel further execution of the code if the object which is needed to run the dispose- and create-functions is not present (again, it's confusing that this can even happen).

As you get older you notice how things you always used to do is starting to cause pain XD
I've always sitted on my feet for exemple and now I've started to develop knee pains that always occur after I sit in a way that I've ALWAYS done.
And am I going to stop doing it? Eh, likely not before it is causing me massive pain....:kaoswt:
Yay me...
Taking screenshot from later part of the game, to use as foreshadowing in earlier parts. :kaoblush:
So close to being finished with this portion, feels like it's been taking forever
