I need some help putting a battle attack and I'm not sure on how to go about it; I have two attacks i want to make, the first one is after using the skill a state makes four turns go by and based on the user a.mat * 4 for each turn that went by and the one the same but turns rewind instead.


I never gone on a forum before but for I can't figure it out, I think it's a good skill idea

There is so much wrong with this forum post. You ask for help but you are not being specific, you use no pictures or examples. If you cannot communicate properly you are wasting everyone's time. Please rethink your question and try to ask it in a more informed way so we can find a solution that works for you.

I hope you figure it out take care. I dont know if you mean a skill where you attack the enemies back, or if you mean the back attack mechanic from final fantasy. Or if you are just talking about a name and you want to know about the damage formula. Please be more clear.

I *think* they are asking for a way to make the target take user's MAT * 4 in damage per turn of the state. If so I think you will want Yanfly's Lunatic scripts, as they have a way you can notetag a state so that it does damage based on the users MAT.

Oops sorry I'm trying to get the damage formula on the skill i mentioned above that gains a.mat * 4 for each turn that goes by / rewind


Eg: Satellite cannon from Yugioh card game is the basic idea of it


where it  gains 1000 atk each turn that goes by

You can start to do that with Yanfly's lunatic states script, as there is an option to make a state do damage based on the stat of the person who inflicted it. As for the damage being based on turns that have gone by, you may be able to simulate this effect by a script that adds a state as a previous state leaves, then use the Yanfly lunatic states script to do the new increased damage. However, that will require a state for each turn that you need damage dealt, and since you only have 999 states possible in the database, it might be a non-optimal solution.


However, it's the only solution I can think of that will not require you to program in such a feature yourself. If you know programming, Diamondandplatium3 has a good series on how to script in VXAce. If you've never programmed in your life, then maybe see if you can learn Ruby on Codeacademy or something?

Bgillisp thanks for the help maybe I'll try lunatic mode when I get rpg maker mv but it won't be for some time now I'll might try Driftwood gaming lvl 5 virus tutorial as a base to make the skill or try something else

Edit: I figured it out with variables this is my formula


a.mat * 4 + v[n] * 1000


At least that's idea the * 1000 might be lowered thou could you close this please
