I was sitting and thinking of a game I wanna make and I was really calm, until I thought of something that has haunted me since yesterday.

So I need your help people.

We all know we can make an NPC Event move slower or faster, either using the Event command, either using the auto move feature on the Event page.

So here comes the hot question.

We have a main hero sprite, wandering around our game. This is our party right? By default it is the Eric sprite and it starts at Party starting Position.

THIS is the Hero Event.

So, I want the Hero Event to move slower during gameplay. Like -50% or -75% of the regular speed.

Is it possible?

How can I do that?

Is there a fast command to change the value of the speed, calling a script Event command?

P.S. to moderators: I am not sure if this belongs to VX ACE or RGSS3 really. It depends on the answer I suppose, so sorry if I made this thread in a wrong place.

Via event:

Set Move Route -> Player -> Change Speed

Via script:

$game_player.move_speed = x

Thank you very much, I can't believe I missed that feature on Move route.

Of course! It can targer the Player!!!

Wait, I forgot something, the script call works only with if you had this little snippet:

Scope issue? I don't know, I'm not expert at scripting. It's just something I discovered back in the VX days. You have to add that attr_accessor in the Script Editor in order to modify the player speed via Script Call.
It works the same as with the event, but you can also use decimal values, like $game_player.move_speed = 4.5.
