Hey everyone, how are you all doing today? I'm new to the site and thought I would introduce myself.  :)

I'm hoping to learn a lot about VXAce and produce a couple games, so I'd appreciate some tips and pointers!  :D

Welcome to the forums, Noferatsi. :D Interesting name, btw. I wonder if there's any sort of a story behind it? ^^

Enjoy your stay and I am sure you'll find all the help you need about VXAce around here. :D

General Guidelines Time!

  1. If you want support with something, be sure to check for previous, similar questions first.
  2. I suggest that you involve yourself with the community. Answer questions, share content, open casual topics (in the General Lounge). Having people know you (in a good way) will help you with the development and promotion (plus we are some pretty cool guys and gals here).
  3. When you post something, make sure you post in the correct section.
  4. Try to abide by the rules of every section! Some of them are stricter than others. There are usually pinned on the top of each section.
  5. Try to keep it PG-13. Like... REALLY PG-13! Believe me, I learned that the hard way. Seriously, all I did was say the word vag[post DELETED]
  6. Try to have some dignity when promoting your work. We are a friendly community yes, but we also try to show some professionalism. Banners, showing off pieces of your work in the respective forums, helping other people, reviewing projects and a well done promotion topic are all good ways to let people know what you are doing. Don't PM everybody to play your demo and don't mention your project in every sentence.
  7. Try to be leveled in case you receive some criticism.
  8. If you gain enough experience and you want to provide support, try to find very recent topics and do it as fast as possible, because otherwise Shaz will answer it first. She's annoyingly efficient. Damn her and her great advice...
  9. If you want to transform your RPGMaker into a 3D engine, that runs at 60 fps, with 1080p graphics that can make MMORPG games, then Tsukihime probably has a script for it.
Now you are ready. Go get them tiger!

Also, I would like to ask everybody for a little support, can you guys PLEASE review my game, but only good reviews please, because otherwise I'll delete the posts. I'll pm the people in this topic too, in case they don't see this.... Vag[post DELETED]

Just a friendly piece of advice. Don't simply post your work and expect strangers to review it instantly. Invest some time in advertising your work so that it's appealing and interesting to those who view your game thread. Also, try to involve yourself in the community. Helping others out by offering constructive criticism can be a useful means of having your works reviewed in return. And ultimately, patience is a virtue. :D

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
