Hello!
As you can see, I'm WeirdUsername. I've been lurking for a bit, and finally decided a proper avatar and introduction were in order.
I played around with RPG Maker XP years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to it. More recently, another friend started making an RPG with VX Ace, so I was re-introduced to the program, and when I saw the RPG Maker Humble Bundle, I finally got a copy of the program for my own.
Since then, I've resumed my toying with it, slowly developing ideas for a strategy RPG in my head, reading tutorials and documentation. I just need to import GubiD's scripts to really get started on my project, but I'm lazy.
I just got my DCS in Computer Programming and will be starting my Software Engineering studies this September, so I'm open to script requests, but bear in mind that I'm still getting used to both Ruby and RPG Maker, so I might be a bit slow.
Other than that, I'm slowly savoring my first playthrough of Bravely Default.
With that, I guess I'll see you all around! If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
