I have an enemy troop member set up to appear on turn 3 with the usual event command (tab 3). In the troop event the sprite is virtually transparent and when I right click it the box 'Appear halfway' is checked.

However, both in battle test and in game the sprite appears at the very beginning. It cannot be targeted and does no action. On turn 3 the sprite 'blinks' and then it can be targeted and act.

Any ideas about what is going on here?
Thanks.

sounds like a script issue where one of your battlescripts messes with the display on the battlescreen
I have heard of this effect, but don't remember which script was responsible last time someone described that.

@Andar Thanks, I'll switch into debugging mode.

EDIT
It appears to be Yami's Battle Symphony script. As that is the basis of my whole PCTB battle system, it looks like I'll just have to ditch the idea of having enemies appearing part way through.

Battle Symphony should have no problems with appear halfway.
either it is a conflict between it and another script, or something went wrong with the default action sequence for initialising enemies.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
