Hi the guys, recently I've have got into the joys of parallax mapping...and the crap bits too.

Basically I'm looking for a solution to a problem with higher and lower ground (see images)

If my character is on the walkway I do not want him to be able to go into the water, however I need both the walkway and water to able to be walked on.

(Basically i need him to walk on the red line before he can go into the water)

It's hard to explain but I hope you under and are able to help me solve my problem.

Any help or advice would be very much helpful and appreciated.

instead of only using two transparent tiles with O and X passability, you need to make several more transparent tiles with directional passability and place them at the correct positions.

Use Tilesheet A4 for example, if the Wall Tops are X unpassable they work like you need.

Because they are still passable if you stand upon them.

As soon a char is on top that tile he can run around it on top of it without being able to move off of the wall top area.

With shift mapping you can make direct connection from normal map to the wall top area. Or you use B Tiles to connect them.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
