My only criticism (aside from the eyes obviously) is the hair looks very static. The edges are moving but the main portion itself seems solid.

I already know what's wrong with it, but i forgot to mention it in the post. The main issue I have is that the hair shading isn't present nor are the highlights moving. I will correct it when I splice/redo. Overall if i'm going to redo it I'm going to go all out. Granted that was my first animation (back in 2011) so I was just experimenting.

Just a note to everyone overall (Not directed at you Reynard): To be honest, I hate receiving criticism. Granted this is mostly cause of a past trauma from an ex-friend. :( So I'm normally very defensive, so if I seem like it, I apologize beforehand. But I'm normally very open to criticism....or trying to be.

But what I hate most is if you decide not to make changes because you like it the way it is. People call you ignorant. :(

No worries, I figure you'd know already. It looks awesome overall, that was just the only glaring issue I could come up with.

Yeah just thought I'd go ahead and post it for those animators-in-training lurking around in the forums in case they had the same problems like me with the hair. :)

Even if you say it's flawed, it's still loads better than a lot of the stuff you see floating around the Internet. I actually really like seeing pieces that are a bit WIP or that have errors. Sometimes, other people's art just looks so gorgeous and effortless. Seeing less-than-perfect things makes me feel much better about my own imperfect little attempts at art. :3

Aw you guys make me blush >////<

Some more animation! (CAUSE I DON'T HAVE TIME TO DRAW WITH FINAL ANIMATION DEADLINE LOOMING...)

Cheapy rain animation, I'll be using this technique in my final animation, but will draw out individual raindrops and stuff...so it'll look a lot better than this.

Here's a WIP frame from my final animation for class. Not only do I have to mark down the outlines, but I also have to mark out highlights/shadows and make sure they animate well too! This is something like a pencil test. :)

Also I'm doing frame by frame animation....in 1080P... *sob*

Once my final animation is done, I'll post a side by side video of pencil roughs, color, and correction versions of the animation. Hopefully you'll be able to learn something from it.

I think there is a fine line between "I know about the mistakes, it's just that I prefer it that way" and "There's nothing wrong with the way I did it you dimwit". The latter is ignorant but the first, not so much :o

The pendant animation is looking quite nicely. Kinda remind me of Chrono Cross in some way >w< Looking forward to the step by step video OvO)b ~

Should be ready at the end of April, I currently have 20 seconds done :) I still have two more animated cuts to do for the first part of the animation.

One of the finished frames:

The rough is done, but need to lineart/color it all in. Hopefully everything will turn out fine!

Oh how I love a good art dump! All I can say is that I am extremely envious, I absolutely adore the Caramelldansen gif! Haha, going to listen to that now.

Your talent is clearly visible. In fact, I think this is the best art that I've seen posted on a forum like this in a long time! I immediately clicked the link to your DeviantArt (in your signature) and hit Watch. Definite anime/ manga style, but I love how you're focusing on sort of a pencil feel. It really breathes life into your work.

orz... My first thought when I saw that fanart piece was "Another fanart of Touch"... Untill I realized that no, not quite.

Nevertheless I love your drawings, the lines feel so dynamic!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
