Alright, as I said I would, here's my feedback of the demo you linked me.

1) Caught, not Coaught and Presence, not prescence. not really an issue so much, just typos/mistakes I felt were worth pointing out.

2)Tile based action RPG's are ok to play, but honestly, if you can find a way to incorporate pixel based movement into your game, I strongly urge you to do so.

3)Maybe it was just the route I took, maybe I'm just that bad, but it seemed like there was a lack of standard potions. the route I took only had mana potions and I died due to a lack of healing. perhaps starting a player out with a couple would help with situations like these?

4)Is it just me or is the poison a tad strong or a tad too frequent for this point of the game? I'd see about fixing the overall damage you get over time from poison that early in the game.

5)I think the spiritual calling spell should have had some sort of use in the demo, maybe even some hints. Not that big of a deal though; there's always next time.

This game has potential, even if you can't/ don't want to change the tile based movement. I'd advise you to look into Zenonia, commercial game that plays the same way. It started out ok, but it kind of went downhill as you got farther in the game, and I would like to help this game avoid Zenonia's mistakes. Hope this helps and gives you some ideas.

Emirpoen, I'm sure that he's tried pixel movement before, but when his project was on the RMVX engine. But yes, I do prefer some sort of pixel movement, It just makes the game flow better.

Anyways~

Nicke, this is great! I loved all the content you posted about this game when it was on RMVX, and it seems you've continued that into this engine. I'll be checking up on this thread, because I'm pretty damn interested.

1). Thanks, fixed those spelling errors..

2). Yeah, the ABS I am using won't be compatible with an pixel movement script. I also think it is not meant to use one in RPG Maker since it brings alot of problems. I want to make it as simple as possible and to worry about pixel movement is nothing I would like to prioritize

3). Every item you gain at chests are randomized so if you play the game again you can be lucky and gain only health potions. But I think I've solved the need of potions by implementing a regeneration to the player, you will regain a bit of health as you play but when standing near a spiritual stone you gain both health and mana at a faster rate. That way you can sort of like "rest" at a spiritual stone. It is working pretty neat I think. :)

4). I will sort out the poison by making it a bit weaker!

5). Yeah. I didn't finish it yet since I haven't figured it out completely what is going to be for. I guess maybe it can be a direct link to guides and tutorials only, not spoil things like Zelda games does when the fairy is pointing out the weaknesses of each monsters. I will try to avoid those things since I believe it is more fun to figure out of your own. :)

@Ooda: Yeah, pixel based movement isn't really that big of a deal. It will not make the game any better so. Thans for the feedback anyways. Nice that you kept following my game all the way to Ace. :)

That was very fun, I for one didn't find any problem with the movement until I encountered a pretty crazy bug. I was sprinting around and I fell into a pit, but when I revived, my sprinting speed was permanent, and when I tried to sprint I could run even faster, it was pretty amusing. (The hole I fell into was on a wooden bridge, not sure if that's important)

I think the gameplay is excellent, it's very responsive, but suffers slight lag at times. The complaints I had for the game was that every chest I opened (besides the very first one) had a Mana Potion inside. That was depressing, considering I didn't use a single mana potion throughout the entire game. I was hoping to find at least one piece of equipment (besides the magic rod), but it's a short demo so I guess I shouldn't expect you to throw an arsenal at me.

I also one shot the skeleton boss with my Staff. Not sure if that was intentional.

@hiromu656: Hehe yeah, I forgot to change the boss HP since I was debugging it. Normally it should have around 300 HP so it gives a decent fight. I am aware that it was hard to find health potions as of that I've implemented a regenerate feature for the player. Basically you stand still and gain a little bit of health and if you are near a spiritual stone you gain mana as well and at a faster rate.

I'll try to sort out the lag I hope. Thank you for feedback anyways :)

In your 1st dungeon screenshot you have those red & blue crystal floor tiles. I've been looking everywhere for those tiles but can't find them anywhere. Where can I get them?

They look like the crystal floor tiles that are default to VX and VX Ace. Although it's possible that they've been recolored.

No, those aren't part of the default tiles. They look completely different.

But anyways I found them, they're apart of Mack's A5 tile for VX.

Thanks. Turns out I recently downloaded them but wasn't sure if they were the same ones. I've seen versions where they tried to cram everything into a graphic set & none of the tiles were the proper size. But now I finally have them again.

Hey Xail i've seen the screen shots etc, and i think the game is almost too perfect for me. But mind if i can use a mini map similair to that? i've been looking everywhere i got almost in love with your way done with the mini map, thanks

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
