I'm just having an occasional experiment with how this version does things, and there is something I can't track down.

Where do I adjust the actor's hit rate? I can't see anything for it either on the actor tab or the class tab. Can it be done?

Thanks, from the 2k3 uber-noob.

In 2000, the only place to affect "Hit Rate" is with your items like weapons and armor. Pretty sure it's the same for 2003. I think the game defaults all hit rates to 100% unless an item or skill specifies otherwise.

@Tai_MT Found it. It is indeed attached to weapons.

Thanks for the info.

Also something else. The Help file mentions this:

Normal attack accuracy
Accuracy (%) = 100 – (100 – A's equipment's base accuracy (%)) x {1 + (B's agility / A's agility – 1) / 2}
·If the “Ignore enemy dodge rate” option is enabled, the base accuracy will be used as-is for the accuracy value.
·Based on the current status, an accuracy fluctuation value (%) will be applied.
·If B has a piece of equipment with the “Increase dodge rate for physical attacks” effect equipped, the accuracy rate will be reduced by 25%.
·If B is under a status effect that causes B to be unable to move, the accuracy will be unconditionally 100%.

@Tai_MT That explains some things I've seen in games made with this engine.

Once more, thanks for the info.

No problem. I worked enough with RM2K back in the day that I knew it'd be relatively easy to find you the answer since the programs are so similar. ^_^ Glad it helps! The first answer I gave you just didn't feel satisfactory enough to me, so I went digging in the help file to find the most specific answer about Hit Rate I could for you.

Have a great day!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
