I am in search for a tileset that might allow me to create a small village/town that is reminiscent of "The Hobbit Shire" from the Lord of the rings trilogy. I would LOVE to pay someone to create a tileset that looks something like one of the examples below!

I am trying to make a small town where rabbits live and I can not for the life of me find any resources that depict a "shire" for RPG maker MV. Is there anyone here that thinks they might be able to help me create a small Bunny Village full of homes and things that exist as burrows dug into the sides of hills?

Please contact me if interested! Seeing as there doesn't seem to be anything like this out there as an existing resource for RPG maker, I imagine a tileset like this would be very popular!

This has been such a huge help everyone! I'll continue to add content to this post that is relevant to a bunny shire!

If you're fine with edits of the default tileset, I could try and create a few "houses" dug into hillsides. I would share the tiles on the forum for free. Let me know if you're interested :)

Omg yes!

That would be amazing! I've been trying to do that myself for the last few hours...but sadly I've only been able to remind myself of how artistically challenged I am X3

I would absolutely adore you if you were able to do a few edits like that for me!

@LadyBaskerville,

Would you mind some help? This would be a fun project and I could probably whip up a few custom pieces. :)

Would love to see what you guys come up with and possibly contribute something over the winter holidays, when I *might* have a bit of time.

@Kip,

As an update, we've gotten a good start on these pieces and they're coming along nicely. Hopefully have something to show you soon.  :)

@Kip,

Sorry for the delay. @LadyBaskerville and I have both been tied up the past few days with work and school obligations and this is all we've been able to put together so far. There are some custom pieces here, as well as a number of RTP edits. Hopefully we will be able to add to this as we go, but between these pieces and the beautiful custom doors completed by Avery and GrandmaDeb, it should at least provide a starting point. We tried to keep as close to your sample pics as possible. Also, I have been away from the laptop that has my Maker engine, so please let me know if anything is off in-game and I'll fix it. :)

It's a fun project, so perhaps more from the community will get involved to help out and get you what you need, as well. :D

And here is a screen shot to show you how some of it may look in game. LadyBaskerville did most of the work on this, and an excellent job, by the way. The rest was put together in parallax just to give an idea of where some of the pieces could fall out.

Glad to hear it. I don't have much experience with tilemaking yet, so it is certainly teaching me a thing or two. Will hopefully have more for you as we go. Would love to see some screen shots once you get this thing rolling! I love the concept of a bunny village. :)

@Gabrelik Oh I'll be sure to post screenshots of the finished project! Before I do though, I'll have to finish working out the final kinks in customizing the default character generator in RPG maker MV. I'm trying to get it to help me create all kinds of critters, bunnies included so that I can fill out towns like this one!

If anyone here has some sage advice regarding this idea, I would love to hear it! Until then, I'mma go start digging out some bunny hovels in the sides of hills <3

Well done to both of you, these are really impressive.  I love the little chimneys.  The hilled sections could be useful for any kind of game, giving more organic contouring than is currently possible.  The way you have used the colours to suggest the curves inspires me to experiment with similar ideas.  Thank you.

I went ahead and adjusted the tilesets you guys made so that they are more inline with a proper tileset grid~ I did my best to line them up evenly and adjusted some of the little accessories and stuff too so they should be easier for people to just copy into their tilesets folder and use right away! I hope!

I've been having a bit of a play around.  I don't know if these are of any use to you but they are all RTP edits.  I got a bit carried away with the inn, but I was having fun so I went a bit over the top!  And I thought any respectable bunny village should have a decent carrot patch.

@Kip,

LadyBaskerville completed some fence edits, as well. I was going to add them to the set, but if you are rearranging them, I'll leave them here.  :)

Fence.png

 Also, on the new arrangement you put together, the bottom hill of the top left set of houses has some pixel transfer showing on the grass, which will need to be corrected, and you'll have to move your tiles over to where they will align in the engine correctly. Currently, this is what you alignment looks like within the set:

I'll keep adding to our original tileset and then you can change as needed. :)

@Kip Glad you like them.  The statues are frankensteined teddy bears!  By the way, the only problem with the original image of the hobbit holes is that is 750 x 750 pixels.  If you resize the whole image to 768 x 768 it is perfect.

@Kip,

Here is an updated Shireset from LadyBaskerville and I. I've adjust the hobbit doors to match your changes, and added the fences from LadyBaskerville.

Also, I added a wooden staircase for either side of the hills:
