My name is Sock. ...why? ... It just is. Perhaps one day you may find out the secrets of my choice in username. Or perhaps not. Either way... You should enjoy my company, I do try to make myself as friendly as possible. So now, a little about myself.  I use to post on the rpgmakervx.net site before I realised I was actually using Ace. Anyhow, all I hear is it's only the scripts that make a difference. I really liked it over there... not to say I wont like it here this site seems to be a-bit more busier. Would you agree that's true?

My rmvxa experience I would class as 'intermediate'. I have a good understanding of variables/switches and most of the time can figure out the problems I have before I start posting. The reason why I'm here is to advance my skills in scripting! Other-wise I would of just stayed true on rpgmakervx.net, even though I'm using ace.

Before I go, I have a few questions I hope you can answer! Don't forget to say hi too! It would mean a lot...

Q.1 I mentioned before... is this forum busier then rpgmakervx?

Q.2 Is it true that only the Scripts are different between rmvx and rmvxa?

Q.3 Grandmadeb (and her cronies)....... Are they just as popular here as there are on rpgmakervx?

Q.4 Finallly...  What's rpgmaker xp? Is that a version better then ace? (I'm not quite sure)

1. This is the official forum, it's the busiest out of all RM communities.


2. VX and Ace are two different programs. While Ace looks a lot like VX, it still has different features.


3. Deb patrols these forums here too. I used to be an admin for that forum! Well, briefly.


4. XP is the version that came before VX, and VX is the version that came before Ace. So XP > VX > Ace. XP is the oldest.

Hey there Celianna. I'm glad you told me 'hoi' is dutch. I've just been using it ignorantly... regardless of its origin. Hehe... I can be abit like that .

Thanks for answering my questions. The main one that concerned me was the possibility of xp being better than ace. I'm glad it's not, as I am the type to only want the best!

Maybe you could give me a small heads up on some moderators around here? That way, I can charm when needed

Since I am here, I will chime in on your third question - I am no big deal here. Nor really anywhere else; but folks have kindly made room for an old lady, and I enjoy sticking my nose in and sometimes it is helpful.
