60 weapons added- 30 Daggers for a thief class and 30 Rapiers both to go with XP007.

Download for these come together with the previous weapons for what now total 120 weapons for visual equipment.

Next work in progress for the XP005, I haven't really kept up showing WIP stuff so gonna change that.
This is a Knight/Crusader, looking old in the first default design but for the others gonna make him look a bit younger and some nice gold armour.

I rarely find anything in your designs which I disagree with, but I do think for the latest one (last 2 posts) the legs look awfully spindly. If you're shifting around in heavy armour you're going to develop muscular legs.

You're the first to mention it and I'm pleased someone else did because I thought I was overthinking it. I couldn't post it here (double posting little changes) but I did a recolour as someone mentioned the bright hair and noticed the legs then.

This animated battler comes in four colour variations and can use both a 2 handed sword or a 2 handed axe.
The old timer still knows how to fight, the others I could picture as kings guard or a deserter looking for revenge.

I'm almost finished the next set of 6 types of big swords and axes.

Classic combat mage knows how to control the battlefield. Take arms and fire from the backline with a massive minigun.

I'm almost finished the next set of 6 types of staves and miniguns so those are coming soon! Make sure you follow to keep updated for when they release.

A nightmare to animate with the other poses to make sure I didn't fluff it up more or less than it was originally.

Weapons are getting bigger! Staves and Heavyguns are ready and free now to equip your Mages and Sentinels.

This update brings the total number of weapons to 240! These also have matching single images - for use within shops, information library and previews. Icons in 32x32 format for use within menus and battle screens to show attacks etc.

The sprite itself is nice. What I do find odd is her weapon. It looks like a massive flower with a huge steman sticking out of it. Whatever it's made of, the weight of it would unbalance the lance as a whole. Also lances were typically held much further back so that the amount of the lance available to piece enemies was as long as possible. Here she seems to be holding it so that virtually none of the lance is available as an actual weapon.

That's more or less some of the issues I had when creating the template for this class, I had to have the hand closer to the top of the spear. I have seen in a lot of media though that it does and or can rather be held there for idle and casual stance. So I pulled from that.

Based on the samples you show above, could I suggest something?

Those 2 sprites work, and the lance looks more like a weapon, because in the idle pose you can see both hands, one further back and one closer to the blade. In yours we only see one hand and have to deduce the type of weapon by the tiny amount that shows behind her back. Could you change the angle of the lance and move it to the front? Then move her left arm so that she's holding it? Because it's going diagonally the lance should still fit in the existing cell size.

I see what you mean, the base sheet itself I hope shows a better answer to what you're saying about the handling of the weapon. I also had to make some exceptions as the other weapon for this base is a large shield.

imgur sure is getting weird, one day I lose gradually all my images, the other I get them back randomly and then again they disappear again.
Despite OPT2 praise it still has some strange stories in it. Lady Mikka is trying to work herself to death because of guilt. Guilt over what? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So instead of finding a NPC to have a heart to heart with her they decide the cure is a new kimono. So when she drops dead she'll at least be well dressed. I haven't even got to the strange part yet.
Did so much work on the game today. I wish I could post it all in this status update but there is a character limit of course haha. I thought about making a topic for updates, though... maybe.
The most recent sign that I am old. I have done martial arts for over 4 decades. Never HAD to stretch out. Good, of course, but never required. Was doing some kicks in the kitchen because, why not, and I felt a pop in the back of my thigh. Now I am limping around. Gotta love getting old.
One of the biggest perks of being fluent in English is how many new and interesting recipes I am able to find and try out that I would have hardly come across if I just spoke my mothertounge :3
