Hello!

I'd like to have a minigame where the player pressure washes and gets rid of dirt on the sidewalk. Does anyone know how I could make this happen?

I need to know how I can make the dirty sidewalk turn into a clean sidewalk, and a way to make water spray from the character sprite when you hold down a certain button. Could anyone help me out with this?

You'll need to draw a diagram of what you want the mini game to look like. Are you doing something to tiles or you just want images to show up on the screen? Is the player character visible on screen? Do you want to change the player character's graphic to show them holding a hose or just show a water spray animated picture on screen or what?

So basically it's like this. (Unfortunately I couldn't upload a screen recording of the footage, so I took screenshots. These are from a game called Dream.EXE)

What I'm aiming for is for the dirt on the sidewalk to disappear behind the character as they walk, similar to how the grass in disappearing behind the character in the screenshots. I also want a stream of water in front of the character similar to how the flashlights work in the other screenshots. However, I want the water stream to only show when the player presses and holds a certain key on the keyboard.

Another detail that may be neat is for the dirt to disappear when the water touches it instead of the character touching it, but this isn't the biggest concern. I just want a stream of water to be flowing from the character sprite so it looks like they're powerwashing the sidewalk. I'll also probably edit the character sprite to look like they're holding the hose/nozzle too.

If anything else needs clarification please let me know. :)

I don't know how it works in VXA but in MV/MZ you could use a tile changing plugin. You could have dirt on the B tile layer on the top of an A sidewalk tile layer A. When you press OK, use the plugin command to remove the B tile layer on that tile. The hose can either be handled with an event or picture graphic that is always positioned in front of the player.

If this were MV I could give you specific instructions but since I'm not familiar with VXA I can only give general outlines.

It seems like MV has quite similar things to VXAce, so maybe you could tell me how it would work in MV and I can see if that would transfer to VXAce!

Save/Load complete. Kind of. There should be trinkets or medals that fit in the empty space of the bookmarks to show progression. Was gonna post it earlier, but I couldn't link GIFs. Don't mind all of them having a style level of 000, it just means they're all nakey and don't have anything equipped.
