I was originally using Orange in my game, but i could not get a AM/PM system working, so i looked around and settled on Mogs for my next attempt.

What i want to do is, have my crops grow based on days passed, IF they have been watered.
I was hoping to keep it all in engine and track the variable for days.

But after some time online, and looking through the engine, all i really ended up with was head aches.

I am back to these forums hoping someone can walk me through the basics of setting a system up, and ill expand it on my own.

Hoping someone can help me.

Hmm, OK.

Its not Tracking days passed but it is working.

Very rudimentary tho.

I set up a Common event, that if a Plot has a specific variable it will add "1" to said variable.
That will cause the Plot to move to another page that's triggered by the higher value.

Watering it, adds one to the same variable triggering a watered state page.

Growth only progresses while in the watered state, as that's the value that triggers the common event.

----

The common event is bound to a trigger switch.

When sleep occurs, either via the bed or passing out, The Switch is momentarily flipped on, while the screen is faded out, then flipped off again when it fades back in.

This is triggered in the Bed event, as well as the passing out common event i have set up.

Its pretty bare bones code, but it seems to be working atm.

----

I don't know how it will go when it needs to run through say 30+ variables checking for the need to increase the values of them
This is the case because the plots have their own variables to control them.

The other issue is the code for the plots will end up being really long, unless there is a way to group code into drop menus, i may need to bind them all to their own common events, all triggered by the same switch.

----

Can anyone see any issues with how i have set it up for in the long run?

UPDATE: i took reference to mogs out of the title, as the system i made up is not reliant on time engine, as its triggered in the sleep event.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
