How can i change battlehud using scriptcall ?

I'm currently using the battle system in the Etrian premade demos.

Can i have someway to change the battlehud (this one) based on the actor i use or can i use a script call to change the battlehud in different time in game?

You use the background_variable ID you placed in Battle_HUD.

For example, if you had set 42, then just do this in-game. $game_variables[42] = "NewBattleHudFilename" (yes including the quotes since it will use it as a string rather than an integer)

In that case please post screenshots of what you have done and describe better what you want - especially what you mean when you're using the word "battlehud" as you might talk about different things.


Use screenshots with arrows if you can't explain it in words.

The only thing different between these 2 picture it's the one i want to change using script call or based on actor

I looked up in Battle Luna Config Script but there're only background variables for window command and stuff,not for battlehud

I tried to put on a :background_variables for battlehud but it doesn't work either.

That is not what Archeia told you to do - what happened when you used her command with the variable with different filenames?


Please post a screenshot of where you used that command and how you configured the variable used.

Why not just leave the Battlehud a black one and make the actor status include the red one which is overlaid on top it?

Because i planning to change the hud based on the map too,like when you in a mountain,its another hud,when you in demon castle,it's another.

And i can also use the script call to make a battle hud shop,buy hud you like.

Alternatively, What you can do is just set a Turn 0 event command in the battle and show picture it to appear below the hud. I tested it out and it works.
