I'd like to only have "attack," "guard," and "skills" available for the player to choose from in battle.

Is there a way to do this without using another plugin? I'm trying to severely limit the number of plugins I use for my project, but in case it matters, I'm using YanFly's Core Engine and Battle Engine Core plugins.

I don't want to eliminate ALL access to items, just not during battles.

You're most likely going to have to use a plugin since you're changing the default menu the game has. However you can change items to NOT show in the Battle Menu from the database:

If you have a lot of items and want to restrict EVERYTHING then a plugin is going to be your better option.....

Any plug-in suggestions for this? I'm also using Yanfly plug-ins as a core source.

Battle Command from Himeworks
Thanks a lot! And in case anyone wants to use it too, it's called "Actor Battle Commands" by HimeWorks. It worked perfectly!

Made another map, this one even has a cool moving waterfall. I'll have an animated GIF later whenever I'm done adding stuff. :LZSwink:
Back here again?! RPG MAKER, I can't quit you. :kaosigh:
um... why didn't anyone tell how easy it is to add motions to Sideview battlers? I literally copied the last one, changed the name and index, said where it should play, and boom... I've got intro motions.
Lately when I listen to 1970s songs, I always think that the "real world" is still at mid 70s. What we experience now is a futuristic dream. With this point of view, even 80s and 90s looks super futuristic. :D
