How can I send my game to a friend in RMMV?

Hi, I recently got RPG MAKER so I'm still learning a lot on how to make a game. I was wondering how can I send my game to friends, I tried going into file - deployment - and chose the windows platform. Once I found the game folder in output I compressed it and sent it through gmail to my friend as a WinRar. He said it did not work and the screen was just black, so I'm not sure if I deployed it correctly.

Have you tried it yourself? It could be that the friend clicked the wrong thing.

An important rule is to always try the file before sending it out. It can be tedious at times, but always worth it.

Ya, I totally agree! Before anything else I'm gonna go and try it myself.

No, he hasn't got it to work yet.

Try that and put it up on like itch.io It's free so there are no worries and just send your friend the link. It may be a little slow or sluggish but it's work.

No problem. Also to possibly see what is up with the game, when your friend opens the game tell him/her to press f8 as it brings up the console log and can inform you of the issue at hand.

This works only for playtests, not deployed versions. So it's not an option.
