Hi, I'm trying to make a custom battle system a bit more similar to pokemon than FF games, but I'm having an issue

I've been able to move the enemy troop easily to the top right, however, I'd like to load a backsprite of my team members a bit the same way the enemy sprites work (a simple image that is affected with hue and with effects by the moves and status effects)

how could I do that ?

and is there is a documentation that could help me to understand better the way the engine works because there's just so many functions etc in each class that I'm kinda lost, I don't know anymore what does what

I know this documentation but it doesn't explain more than what we can see by looking at the code of the engine
it for instance doesn't explain that much what some private variables do etc
it would be cool if there was a kind of schema of the behavior of the battle system

That's at the moment what it looks like (the background issues are minor it's just the resolution of the file that will have to be fixed).
As you can see I moved the enemy troop to be better placed for the third person style similar to pokemon (and converting their troop placement to 720p), but I still have to find how to get the player back sprite to work in a similar way to the enemy sprites but placed at the bottom left

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
