(seriously, some friends and I were brainstorming company names for something I was working on years ago, and this one kind of dropped (hee), so I use it sometimes)

My username is a wordplay from the sentence "Excuse Me" in my native language :guffaw:

It's my initials.  Possibly the dullest story behind a username possible.

"Eschaton" is an academic word used to describe the 'end times' in various mythologies and religions.  I picked it because it sounded awesome.

I'd just like to say that your username does not bring back fond memories.

(Not you, another person who used the word in their username back in the day)

Kraikken was not the first character I ever used in a role play game, but it was the one that had the most impact on my writing as I was just beginning to learn how much power could be placed in a word.

I'd never before this character had been so aware of the space that is important to narrative, to making a person feel the scene as cleverly or dynamically as Kraikken saw it.

Well, I'm going to avoid giving people bad memories.  Probably.

I needed a name for a character in PSO and had a (terrible) system that involved taking the names of two things and mashing them together.

In this case it was a MagnaVOX VCR and an EnerGIZER battery. Only different is the "gizer" isn't pronounced the same as "gizer" in Energizer. It's "guyz-er."

Vox became my favorite character (doesn't hurt that it sounds bad ass too), and the name's stuck for over 10 years.

I would like to point out that Vox are the makers of both my favorite guitar (The Bulldog) and my favorite amp (The AC-30).

Vox means voice in latin so it makes sense to see it with things that deal with sound. I've used Vox/Voks for various online games and such and so when I joined the community It was the latest "Vox" I made, so I added the word Novus meaning new in latin. It is also a sort of double name because at the time of my profile creation I was the newest voice in the community.

Well, my name came from a variety of sources. During my many years of the internet, my usernames were pretty much words tagged onto my real life nickname, which started with a "J". After realizing it looked terrible, I sought to make a better username that would be a little more unique and look less obviously like a bunch of words slammed together. I played WoW at the time, and I made a blood elf paladin named Jallel, since blood elf terminology looked kinda like that. After realizing that it kinda looked like a kryptonian name (dc comic alien race, see superman for those that don't know), I decided to expand it a little further, but had no idea how without it sounding like crap (to me, anyway). After getting into programming for college, wanting to be a game developer, I started coming up with story ideas in my head, one involving a magic user as the main character, but couldn't decide on a name. Noticing how as I developed the character in my head the more his life story paralleled my own in various ways, I decided to make his name my username, whenever I came up with one. Right at the moment I decided that, I had an epiphany that just struck on sudden impulse. I saw the name "Jallelthalas" pop in my head. So, that is what I decided to call myself.

What thomas said. It's actually a mashup of my last and first name (I'm not telling what parts.... :p )

I've been using it on gamefaqs for a long time now.

My name actually came from my love of all things angelic (a Seraph is a type of angel). Though later it became the name of my most prominent protagonist, whom I use in almost anything I write or make.

It means "shadow" or "cloudy" in Japanese.

I also go by "Shemhazai", the fallen angel, also known as Samyaza. It has nothing to do with the FF Esper.

It's my name and where I live. :D

There's an old saying where I'm from:  "Never ask a man where he's from. If he's from Texas, he'll tell you; and if he isn't, there's no need to embarrass him"

For me Mooshra growing up I loved a show called Shinzo and the main character's name was Mushra, so then taking the sounds and mixing up the letters I got Mooshra. As for me LetsGo12 well I just like saying, "Lets Go!" and when I first made a account on a website they required atleast 2 numbers in the username to help fight hackers,as if that would ever work. So I just typed in the first two numbers I saw and BOOM! LetsGo12.

You can guess how we got our joint account name from there!
