My username's origins come all the way from DeviantArt. I had a cUsToM oC created with the name, "Kigarushi". At this time I was still using another alias - then I started to stray from DA and moved on to become "KigatoKawa", from there I've played around with the name here and there, most notably - Kiga and Keegs. Or as I say; "Anything vaguely similar to Kigatokawa".

The very first alias I had on the internet (my email) was "Draconix". I didn't care much for uniqueness, but I did indeed think of the name without any influence. Really thought it was a cool username at the time, but there are plenty of Draconixes out there.

I started on MSN as "The GameMaster" just because I am very good in games
and always compleet them and if achievements was there on 100% =)

but also "Tiger" and "TigerJB" or just "JB" as nickname and still counts.
for RPG Maker Mv I go under the name ShadowDragon or ShadowAncientDragon.

because I love Tigers the most, love eagles as well, and dragon pictures which
are amazing how they are made.

so I always match my DP with the NickName/UserName to fit together =)

One of my first ever usernames was VanillaDragon7858. What inspired the username was a picture someone in grade school drew for me, which was a redraw of an illustration that looked like this. I loved dragons, especially since I had started watching How To Train Your Dragon at that time- and as for the vanilla part of the name, I just thought it sounded a little more unique. 7858 was part of my lunch card code for school- haha! I used that username for my first Youtube channel around 2012. I uploaded one or two videos, but haven't been able to find it. :') Ahh... old Youtube days.

After that, my next username was Anarchy on Flipnote Hatena, as I was getting quite stereotypically emo shortly after Youtube, and it showed in my flipnotes. Somewhere along the line, I ended up changing my username there to RomaViela, inspired by my favorite character (Romano) from an anime I started watching (Hetalia.) RomaViela stayed my username for a while on DeviantArt and a few other art sites.

I had more username changes since then, but those three were my starters!

My username comes from the class from Elder Scrolls IV; "Nightblade" is a cross between a rogue and a mage, and it was my favorite play style.

My first online "username" was just my real name :LZSlol: but I really have no idea as to my first online fake username. The earliest I can remember was Nightblade (I played ESO when I was fourteen), and I don't know what was before that (if anything).

Mine are never all that creative. My name is not too far off rye, which is a type of bread, and there is a guitarist called Ryland Cooder (73 now, bless him), who goes by Ry Cooder, which gels nicely with the bread because you pronounce them the same way. I've had others, but I enjoy bread and music, though not necessarily together, so why not?

My name comes from the main character of Final Fantasy Tactics, which was pretty obscure at the time. Nowadays, FFT is considered a cult classic RPG so registering the name basically anywhere is almost impossible now.

My first username on a message board was actually Lenny, which was the name I always chose as a pokemon trainer name in pokemon game boy games. I'm not sure, but I might've actually been banned from that board under that name and came back with Ramza, and then later, RamzaBeoulve when I (hilariously) forgot the password to the first one.

I generally go by JammyTheBirb these days, but some accounts still have the JammyTheWerewolf name. I liked wolves as a kid, and my nickname was Jammy. I'm more of a bird guy now though, hence the change.

Blue is my favorite color, and Rose is my most recent internet handle, so I simply found a way to combine the two. I've used many aliases and handles throughout the years.

My very first handle was ''Raven'' as far as I can remember. I was an edgy teen.

My very first username was "Boo_24_7" that I used because I was (and still am) a fan of the Boo from Super Mario games. I only used that name for a few years though, before I came up with this one.

I've been using the Meowsticks moniker for over a decade now. What does it mean? That's a secret! :guffaw: It's not important and doesn't have any hidden meaning behind it, I just like to keep people guessing. It's just grown on me and that's how everyone outside of real life knows me so I don't see it going anywhere.

My name?

Just maaaaaybe I watched too much anime.

Edit, almost a year Edition: The real reason why I've named myself 48Tentacles- Well, there are actually two reasons:
  • Reason number one: When I was very young I used to be a big fan of Pokemon, first Gen. And ever since I saw that creature, Venonat, I instantly loved the design of that one. Its number is #048.
  • Reason number two: I used to be very scared of tentacles in anime, but without going on specific examples I managed to get rid of my fear by watching anime with these things present.
And besides, I like my nickname.

Because I thought it sounded cool (my Japanese was horrible then lol) for a fire sorcerer in a d&d campaign and i've been running with it for over 20 years now (gah i'm old!!!) so if you see Kaukusaki, it's usually me. I have yet to see anyone else with that name online anywhere lolol

Back in 2001 when I first got rm2k and joined the IRC channels for it I needed an online handle. I was hugely into Dragonball Z at the time and had been reading about a fan-made sequel to Dragonball GT called Dragonball AF where one of the characters was a fusion of Gohan and Trunks called Trihan. I thought it sounded cool so I started out as SSTrihan--the SS standing for Super Saiyan.

Over the years, as I grew out of my Dragonball Z fandom I removed the SS and just started going by Trihan, and I've been known by that name in pretty much all my online communities for the past 20 years. XD

question 1: It's a reference to a fictional hacker bar in a William Gibson story which was itself a reference to a Steely Dan song, "Midnight Cruiser", so it's a nested reference.
question 2: oh man, I literally can't remember

e: wait, nightblade, are you THAT nightblade?

My username has a very simple origin. I was playing Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and came across a weapon called the Sword of Dusk. I ended up liking one of the special attacks attached to it so much that the weapon stuck in my head, and when I needed a new online handle, the Sword of Dusk was the first thing that came to mind.

As for what my very first username was. . .I have no idea. Been far too long.

I can't give my first username without mildly doxxing myself.

I've had a few in the past, and around 6 years ago I started cringing at the stuff I made under my previous username (which includes bad Newgrounds games and worse RPG Maker games), so I decided to ditch my middle / high school mistakes and move on to a new online identity.
The name ChickenRave (CHKNRAVE for short) was just something I randomly came up with in my student apartment while brainstorming for a new name on my own.
I actually have the date at which I first used that name, January 17th 2015, because I quickly made a new Twitter account and tweeted #CHKNRAVE. I used this shortened form pretty much immediately, it was going to become my brand, if the dollar store can be called a brand.
It was soon followed by this iconic profile picture, light beams made with PAINT.NET over a PNG of a fried chicken wing.

I own EmeraldSpecter.com after ditching my old LimeFlavored.com, so I just started going by EmeraldSpecter as a result. Nothing fancy. I'm 45, so I've got a list of handles I've gone by too long to list... a highlight of some of the better ones are Snake Eyes, King of Cats, and Admiral.

First question- Abstract Man was another name for a character in one of my short stories. It was called The Nothing Man who was a post modern anarchist who's body was made of cloth and discarded machine parts. I also like abstract art :) .

Second question- My first user name was theIgman because I had a pet lizard named Iggy at the time.

I've always found Game Over screens to be a bit boring. Mostly because I see them too often.
Tried to mix it up for the jam.
