    I noticed that when I type a post, the default font used to be Arial, but for the past several months the default font is something else & not one of the listed selectable fonts. I was wondering if there's a way to permanently change the default font for posts?

    Take a peek at the BBcode editor
    Code:
    [FONT=Times New Roman]Text Here[/FONT]
    Maybe you can try to change "Times New Roman" to other unlisted font names.

    As for changing the default font, I don't think it's available unless I missed it.

    I don't know what the default is now, but its not Times New Roman or any of the selectable fonts. Ironicly, I decided not to change the font with that last post & kept it as is, but once I posted this topic the visible font is clearly Arial, yet it doesn't look that way when I'm typing these posts (including this one). But I distinctly remember that the default font as you type was clearly Arial but lately it looks different for some reason.

    mmmm no that's not what the quotes mean, the quotes don't give that font a priority. The quotes are used because that font name is more than one word, i.e. has white space. If Segoe UI is being used it means it's the fallback because Roboto is not available. On my laptop (Windows 10, Google Chrome) for example, Roboto is used.

    No Mr. Roboto!.png
    As you can see in the pic, mine says its Roboto as well. How do I change it back to Arial? Would uninstalling Roboto & Segoe fonts from my compter cause the default to fall back to Arial?

    Stupid Microsoft! It won't let me delete Segoe UI because its "Microsoft/System Protected". Oh well, that Roboto font was ridiculous anyway & I don't have to look at it anymore.

    You could use browser extensions like Font Changer (example for Chrome). By the looks of your screenshot you're not using Chrome but you could try to find an extension for your browser. That might be a better solution than deleting a font.

    Yay! Its in Arial now! All I had to do was change the font settings in Firefox. Mission Complete!

    Edit: D a m n it! It changed other sites too like YouTube. I re-enabled websites to use their default fonts over my settings & now its back to square one. Why can't I win? ;_;

    Right, changing the font in your browser settings will change it everywhere. I suggested a browser extension, that'll let you pick which website and which font you want to see.
    Here's an example for Firefox, though I haven't tried it, just found it with a quick search.

    Nope! That addon was a piece of crap. I checked out everything on the 1st page of results & couldn't find one that set the font for specific websites.

    Interesting, I just assumed it used the same font I'm getting when I edit text... posted messages do idd come as Roboto, but the editor is coming in Segoe UI, with me on Google Chrome.
