How do I create a cursed item that cannot be dropped or sold?

I want to create an item that can only be removed upon the completion of a quest. It can't be sold or dropped. I can't use the key items because I'm already allocating that to a "quest log book" via this method. I'm actually trying to have a multiple cursed items like this and some are regular items while others are equipment.

For items, set the sell price to 0. That should stop a store from buying them, and I don't think you can drop items so that should be a non-issue.


For equipment, if you intend them to be equipped and non-removable, add the trait fix equip to the item, where the slot it fixes is the same as the slot the equip uses up. So if it is a sword, give it the trait fix weapon, and so on. If you don't intend that though, a selling price of 0 should prevent any selling of the item.

That works, but is there a way to give it a high sell price AND prevent it from being sold? I want to sort of frustrate the player with a useless, valuable, item he is unable to sell.


Also do you know of a good item drop script to use?

Afraid not, at least easily. The only way I could see to do it is to make it only sellable to an individual, who offers x for the item. This way you bypass the shop scene completely.


For item drops, I use Yanfly's.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
