I understand how to do in-game cutscene using the players and other events, but I don't know how to do animated cutscenes. I've seen some in other games and I want to add that certain aspect to my own.

If it is possible, can someone teach me how to make animations on RPG Maker?

Those are usually done by show picture commands (unless they're using show movie), which means they are not done inside the RPG-Makers, but with an image program or movie maker outside of it and only displayed in the game

Depending on what kind of cutscene you want, a lot can be done with the Move Picture event command. You show a picture and then fade it in, fade out, move from one part to another, change it's zoom level, etc. Or you can just show picture and change the picture every few frames as if it's a flip book.

Alternatively I think you can use OGV format videos, if you're after FFVII style movie cutscenes. But making those videos would be entirely separate to RPG Maker VX Ace.

Or you could animate the scene itself - that would require you to make new pixel art for each character moving around and then changing the event's graphics every now and then to make them move in a way other than just move routes. Again though that all needs to be done outside of RPG Maker in an image editor.

Do you have an example of the cutscenes you wanted to emulate?

Well, you can either do it by programming or a third party software like Adobe Effects, etc.
Programming requires more work but the animation will be in real time, while in third party software you can do whatever you want freely and easily but it won't be in real time. But both methods require you to know the very basic of pixel art and the very advanced of programming or Adobe Effects.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
