I have a PC and we are setting our game on steam. I deployed to use for mac os but I don't know what folders to put on steam and what we should make the system point to being there is no .exe file. What needs to be ported over and what do we point to in order for mac users to start their game?

I've moved this thread to MV Deployment. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

When you tell the MV-Editor to deploy to MacOS, the result should be an app-file that is in reality an archive containing everything for MacOS.

What happens when you do that?

Neither - you're already too deep into the structure.

You need to copy the game.app folder, that will automatically turn into a program named game when placed on the Mac.

(sorry, previously I only tested the Mac output on a Mac, where that folder is automatically displayed as a programm - on Windows it's not a file but a folder)

Good info. Thanks for the input. Is it Game.exe? Since I have windows I won't see it. When I set it up on steam, just need to know what steam will be looking for to start the program for mac users.

Mac doesn't have exes - the entire folder turns into a program on a MacOS, and everything else is handled internally by the MacOS.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
