So, I have a question that I've NEVER learned, in the 3 years I've been using RPG Maker.

So, let me make a scenario for you:
You walk into a building, and open a chest, and find a sword. You take the sword, equip it, and walk out.
But what if you walk in the building again, well the event resets, and you can redo the event again.

How do I make it to where a event stays permanently done, even if you leave the map that event is in?

There's actually a "Quick event" option that has all of this preprogrammed for you. Just make sure you are on your event option, right click where you want the chest, and go to this option. It will open up a drop down menu for things like transfers, chests, etc. This chest set up will leave the box open once you leave, but more importantly, you can see how it is done so that you'll know for future events where you need a similar setup.

Not much to it though. You really just need to set a "Control Self-switch" at the bottom of your event page, then, create a second event page with that Control Self switch selected. All you have to do on that page is make your picture the open treasure box and you're good to go. The system will see that page as the last thing to do on the event, so it will just sit there, all empty and alone, for all eternity. :D

Hope this helps!

Use a Switch. When opening the chest, turn it on and create a new page with this request showing the chest open. It is very simple and you can even use the preprogrammed base:

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
