How do I...make it to where the party-member menu only shows 1 window?

So in-game, you're only gonna play as 1 person. (People can't join you or anything). The maximum # of characters has been set to 1, so that shouldn't be the issue.

The problem is that, when you open the menu screen in-game, it shows 3 more empty slots below the main character that take up room, so it looks weird...

Is there a way to where I can change the window settings so that...the player's window is the only slot that opens?

there are some plugins for single actor and skips member select,
I made a custom menu with item scene for single actor (gear menu is being made)
but probably not suiteable for yours.

Galv also has a single actor based menu, but it depends what you look for
on your side, status or no status window. and what else, each game has different thing,
can the actor level or no level required, but based on armor? etc

Ahh, here's some specifics:

-The player is able to find items, and a few of them are able to be worn (Equip) for the sole purpose of raising 1 stat (Luck). (None of the other stats matter, but idk how to get rid of those)

-The only stats visible right now are HP. I am using a plugin that allows me to hide the MP and TP ones since those are irrelevant. I believe it is Yanfly's YEP_SkillCore if I'm not mistaken.

-The player can only "level up" once directly through an in-game event as a story-element. So it should be able to show "Lv. 1" and "Lv. 2"

-Everything else is pretty much the same. Face icon, HP...etc.

with SRD_HUDMaker plugin (this plugin require very basic javascript knowledge,
but can be more powerfull if you have advance knowledge.

but you can play it onmap, or only when menu is open.
you can also make a sketch what are shown.

does it have a menu:
items
equip
etc
etc
etc
save
exit game

or everything is ingame based like choices on certaint point to use those?
if this is the case, HudMaker might be helpfull to you.

else single actor based plugin and modify it a bit to fit your needs.

(Btw, I have zero javascript knowledge other than copy/paste something in Script/Notetags for plugin purposes lol)


So right now, you can open the menu at any time, anywhere. This is what will show up:

This is the part I'm talkin' about: See all that empty window space on the right side? I want all of that gone, and only have enough room for the 1 person.

Anyway, Stuff is "items". When you choose items, then it brings you to the items menu with all the different prioritized items.

Equip is where you can equip the equippable items you can find.

Here, I don't like how there's everything else tbh. The ONLY thing I'd like to have is Luck...so I'm not even sure if I need this option to be honest.

Status just shows the generic homepage:

the best way is to have SRD_HUDMaker to show your status window on the map,
so it's always visible, for level, and LUK you want to be.

for the equip window, you can use an objext with action button, that use a scriptcall
SceneManager.push(Scene_Equip) so you can edit your equipment.

as for the params, that require a plugin with tiny modifications to hide those, or create
a image based equipment system to equip (require some tiny scriptcalls), but it has
no windows this way, but use variables (check my evented image menu), so you have
a slighty idea how to set up a simple menu (you can use it for equipment part).

this can also be called with button common event from yanfly or another plugin that
can do similair. (like a keymapper), but that require input.isTriggered("Keyname")
Keyname are either a code or name like "left", "B" etc depending how it's setted up.

else someone can code it in the way you want it.
modifications like those can be easy, but I have no idea how to get rid of the params
you dont need. so I can't help you on it (also busy in RL). but I hope you can get the
help you need

This is a super quick/easy fix if I correctly understand your problem.

You may have only one set up in the database Actor tab but you still have to remove them from the System tab (under "Starting Party"). It throws you off because they're blank rows though (you can temporarily add names in Actor tab if you need them to show up here to spot/delete easily). Click on those rows and hit the Delete button.
