How do I share my EXP with new recruit?

Hi guys! This is my first post here.

I'm messing around with RPG Maker MV (I have VX ace too), and I'm wondering if it's possible to be able to recruit a new actor with the same exp as my Actor #1? I know that there's a way to put the actor's level in a variable, is it possible to do that with the current exp they have?

I have a question about how to maybe implement a blue magic dynamic in MV but I can start another thread for that.

Control Variables lets you get a number of things from an actor. Level is one, EXP is another.


If the new recruit has never been in the party before, just get actor 1's EXP into a variable, then change (increase) the new recruit's EXP by the same amount.


If they have been in the party before and went away for a while, get actor 1's EXP into a variable, then deduct the new recruit's EXP from that value, and then change (increase) the new recruit's EXP by the new amount, which should bring them up to the same as actor 1.

Awesome! I was confused how to do that but now I see it in the Control Variables.
