How do I use an event to activate another event?

In my test game, I want the player to ring a bell, which will make the inn owner come down the stores and walk to the player.

I have the bell sound effect and the owner's walking pattern, I just need to know how to make the bell event activate the owner's event.

Or if you don't want to answer, if you could point me to a tutorial that would explain it, that would work as well. :D

Don't.


Make the BELL event do a Set Move Route to make the owner walk down the stairs. Don't use switches and commands on multiple events to handle a single interaction sequence.


Also add any dialogue between the player and the owner in the bell event too, unless you want the player to have to walk up to the owner.

Thanks a lot. Since we've gotten this far, um...could you maybe explain how switches and commands work exactly?
