How do most of you meet new people

Heya the title may sound a little bit strange, but i was wondering how do most of you actually meet new RPG Maker?
i have seen some really great Games, Sprites, tilesets etc. butI've never come to make friends with any xD or work with others so i was wondering how do you guys get in touch with others?
and how do you reach out for people when you want to create a game ?

There's a Project Recruitment forum where you can get others to join your team and help you make a game.  Make sure you read the pinned rules/guidelines/tagging guide threads - if you don't format & tag your thread as required, it probably won't be approved.


Other than that, take part in the forum.  Join in on discussions, ask questions, help people.  If you make resources, share them (make sure they're YOURS - nothing worse than a newcomer trying to make themselves popular by posting other people's resources).  That's how you get to know people here.


If you're into skype, I believe there's also a skype group, though I don't know how often they get together or what they talk about.  Just do a forum search for skype (it's probably here in General Discussion) if you want to find out more about that.
