I'm using RPG Maker MV. I have seen characters or npc actually look like they are sleeping in a bed and under the covers in other rpg maker games. I just like to know how do they do it. But I haven't seen any tutorials on how it's done. If there are I'm just really bad at looking for them. So if anybody know how to get your character or an NPC to look like they are sleeping in a bed and under the covers that would be awesome.

Also if there is a way to have the character sleep and have a Day/night cycle pass that would me awesome too. For example, the main character decides to sleep in his bed in the afternoon and when he wakes up and it is dusk or in the evening. Any information will help since I am new at this. Please and thank you :)

There are several ways to do that, most requiring a bit of image work.

I would suggest editing the tileset in a way that makes the bed a two-part tile.

1) Place the original bed on the A5 sheet (remove a tile you don't need) and make it passable in the tileset

2) Make a tile that contains only the lower part of the bed (the bed cover) and let the top part remain transparent

3) Place that lower cover part in one of the B-E slots and give it star passability

4) On the map, place the bed where you want and then place the cover tile on it.

If you now move the actor on that position, the star-passability will place the bed-cover above the player sprite, hiding the fact that the player still stands there and letting only the head be visible at the top end of the bed.

That will look as if the player sleeps there.

Day/Night-Cycle can either be evented or created by a script/Plugin. Just search around the forum for more details, there are a lot of topics on that

This is an edit I made to the original mv tilesets. Set the blanket layer to star at the top and x at the bottom. It also includes a smaller bed variation but it isn't set up for the character to sleep in.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
