This place has so many different kinds of resources available to us. But we can't forget Steam, the other community sites and Japanese sites. How do we keep track of them all?

At the moment, my pathing looks a little like this...
Desktop>MV>Resources>Graphics>Tilesets>Author>files
Graphics>Battlers>Author
Graphics> Animations>Hadecynn>Quintessence
Audio>SE>Author
Audio>BG>Author
Scripts>Battle>Tsukihime
Scripts>UI>Soulpour777

In each of the Creator's folders is also a text file with their ToU and where it was obtained from.
What about you guys?

Mine is similar to yours except for the graphics, which is much more expanded, as I'm using Ace. I think once MV gets a decent range of additional resources created for it, you might have to do the same. The reason being: you want some cupboards, you know you've got some nice ones, but you cannot remember who made what you're thinking of. I do not want to spend my time hunting through all the folders to find this one tile. So...

All paid for resource packs are in their own folders and kept completely separate from everything else.

I have a lot of folders with specific contents e.g.
Forest and flowers
Auto-tiles
Generator parts
General Character
Landscape
Doors and windows
Cupboards and shelves
etc. etc. etc.

Some of these, e.g. cupboards, beds, curtains, are inside more general folders. In this instance, those three are inside "Household furniture and furnishings"

There are some author folders inside these, but often there are one or two items from someone which doesn't merit a specific folder. These file names include cr XYZ. Very often the file name will be the item, so if I want a ruined well, then I can enter that in the search box for the master folder of that type of resource. Out then pops
Ruined well cr Avery

I only download resources which are free for commercial, so I don't have to keep tabs on that. If it's not free for commercial, it's not on my hard disk.

Mine would seem quite unorganized at first but what I do is for each site where I get my resources from, I create a folder named after the site/creator and literally put all of the graphics/sound effects there. Then I name the beginning of each file with a [x] where x corresponds to the initial of what type of resource it is. G for Graphics, A for Audio and so on. It's a really weird and tedious way of organizing, isn't it? :kaopride:

Your system looks good. I just recommend you separate them into two big groups of non-commercial and commercial first, then two separate copies of your system within those groups. This way you will know instantly which ones can be used for commercial games.

Simple answer: I don't.
Detailed Answer: I have a folder on my desktop titled "RPG Maker", which has 3 folders in it. One for graphics, one for music and one for projects I've disowned and would rather die than release to the public. Everything I have purchased or acquired over the years goes in one of the first two. Everything I've ever worked on goes in the last one until I make something I'm truly happy with.

Since my laptop died after three years of work and I lost everything, I now post everything on Deviantart, and use the gallery folders there.

I organize everything by projects. I have a different paste for each one where I put the files that I need for those, again separated by different pastes(audio, graphics, scripts). And inside of these there is even more pastes! And then more pastes! It's a tree of pastes my computer. Point is, I really really really separate everything. What I do and free resources I take from net never mix up.
Then I write down in the note book the authors and what I have of them. One note per project too. That way is easier for me to keep track of who I need to credit, since it's already written down.
