How do you "pick up the pieces" when getting burnt out on making a game?

1) Write down what needs to be down somewhere. I recommend a document. The list might be huge (mine had 50+ pages at one point!) but then you can see exactly what needs to be done. Then maybe dedicate a session to fixing/adding one thing.
Did you just write it down in MS Word or something similar? Or can you recommend some "project managment" software? I think it can really help to get a feel of your progress and see that you're finishing stuff.

@TheoAllen That's really interesting to me, because I feel like I'm the total opposite :D Seeing other people's work generally only depresses me. Especially if it looks really polished and well done. It kinda makes me feel self-conscious about my stuff.

Realized it helps being social & active, stepping away to clear your mind is the best way. Also Positive People can go a long mile, being around productive & positive people helps everything.

@Dust it only happens when you already learned so many skills. And you want to be in an equal footing with them lol.
Maybe you looked in the wrong direction. Because I believe there're two sources of motivation (out of many).
1. Seeing how good people at it (So you want to do the same stuff)
2. Seeing how bad people at it (So you want them to know how it should be done)

Best way to do it, find someone to test your game.

It will give you more motivation to 'tidy up' your game so it's more presentable for them to test.
Also just do a bit at a time, it may take a long time but honestly the moment you don't have the motivation to do anymore, just call it quits.

Also, set yourself a goal of doing a specific thing to the game and get it done, or at least do part of it since nothing kills motivation more than the thought of doing tons of work.
Something I was wanting to do (and I guess recommended to do) is try to spruce up my One-Map challenge game - I think I was attempting to do things for it (most of which weren't things the one feed backer told me to touch up but more advanced things like animated battlers and stuff) but I also wanted to move on to other projects and just kind of burnt out with the whole "I'm not going to have time to do everything I want, so I guess I'll just do nothing". I bet if I just tried to turn the other projects into "one map challenge" size - I'd get more games done.

Though is there any good places to go to get games tested?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
