I've moved this thread to MV Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Hi and welcome. Tutorials is for posting tutorials you've made on how to do something. When you have "how do I?" questions, they go in the support section for the engine you are using.

Basically you need a script/plugin for that, because by default the engine has no stat distribution points.

How you use that depends completely on which plugin you're using as there are several different ones.

There is a way to event it, but not in the menu. Basically, you would need trainers on the map, and they would increase your stat based on various criterion.

If you want the stat increases to be based on points earned at level up, way I did this without a plug-in was 3 variables per actor. One to calculate the number of points the actor has earned all game, one to keep track of how many had been spent, and one to calculate how many the actor still had to spend. All three were updated every time you spoke to the trainer so you knew how many points you had available.

Video tutorials are probably the worst way to learn any form of programming - that is simply too much for a few videos, so unless you have a video series totalling about a hundred hours and starting with basic logic desing, any such tutorial will skip important parts for new people.
Video tutorials for programming only work for people who can already program and just want to learn a new language for it.

And that is completely beside the fact that some people made their tutorials difficult to read due to resolution settings - there is one tutorial where it is absolutely impossible to see the difference between () and [] in the video, and that is an extremely vital difference for code (one denotes a function, the other an array).

If you really want to learn how to script/program, start with some non-video tutorials and prepare to spend the next half year on it (if you never programmed before)

Sorry about the double posting (i thought it was common in forums).
Yeah i notice that thing you say about resolution, thats why i always uses HD setup on that kind of videos in any case when i see non-video tutorials i freak out and have no idea where i can start, all i want for now is:

1.-"Stat distribution per level" (Yanfly Stat Upgrade´s video is cool but is not what im looking for T_T)
2.-"recover Help & Mp when you level up"
3.-"how do i make secret passages"

Thats the noob way to do it but is a little frustrating to do it for every single square in the entire map of you wann put it and to do it every single time i require that tileset xD lol

Hope you dosent mind but do you have Scripting tutorials for beginners i was trying to search for your posts but unfortunately idk how to search for posts of someone in particulary.

Thanks Man

P.S: You are a cool dude

I've heard most people use codeacademy to learn how to do JavaScript, then from there learn how to add it to MV. No idea how well that works, but it might be a place to start.

As for what you asked, I know there are plug-ins already made for 1, and maybe 2 (heal on level up). Don't know where they are I'm afraid but if you go look under plug-in releases, and keep scrolling, you should be able to find it. I think the stat distribution plug-in came out about when MV did, so look for one about that time.

Codecademy is a pretty good starting point for Javascript. I've also started a regular series called Jump into Javascript that explains Javascript concepts and how the default scripts work.
