Its pretty simple question: I assume every one here is stoked about MV. We don't have it yet and making a game in VX doesn't sound as fun, so how far have you plotted out, drew out, parallaxed out, created ideas, jotted down notes?

In essence, if I could give you the product now and based on all your planning you had 24 hours how far would you get into your game design? 10%, 20%, 100%, 0.3%?

I would get the intro done and a couple scripts done.

I'm thinking of a really short 1 - 2 week project for MV. It was to be my IGMC entry, but RL got in the way so it went unused this year. It's a short little puzzle game, with no battles in it.

I'm actually making a short puzzle game in VXAce right now to pass the time until MV. I really hope I get it out before launch. I already have a game mostly on paper for when MV comes out. But knowing me. I'd probably just poke around and make random maps first.

I actually write down on paper all the concept of the world of my games...because yes multiple game with different story pass in the same world maybe not in the same era I also want to share this concept to the other so they can use my worlds for make their game

but let's say it's 10% finish?

50% of the story and World

98% of the battle system (still awaiting confirmation that weapons can have multiple hits)

98% Characters (I just have to make them but their types and weapons/armor they'll use were planned out a few weeks ago, it helps that there's only 2 permanent party members and 16 temporary event only party members)

100% of the weapons and equipment

It's really hard to say without knowing all the plugins, and especially with no ATB gauge plugin in sight yet. A lot of the new plugins are really changing my mind about my projects as well, I can't even imagine how much more I'll change as we keep getting new plugins. It's really exciting!

I'll definitely be working slowly to adjust to the new stock tilesets. I feel fairly comfortable with VX Ace's RTP, but MV might require more practice.

parallaxing the maps for me will be the biggest thing as I plan to use stock RTP along with any other Bonus RTP for this rather simple yet complicated game.

I would have started scripting a few things. I always start with a solid system state to start building on. Else I would have to go throught all content to adjust...

I'd go with the 50-75% as I have drawn out all the map designs, wrote all most all of the dialogue and the majority of characters have been drawn. I've only got Battlers to prepare and then it's actually putting it all in MV and then extensive testing. I've decided that Plugin's can be used to tweak the experince after I've finished the game as I won't be changing the core system enough to warrant the hair pulling immediately. I did pick a project of mine that should result in 2 hour's of game play at most so relatively small with a small development time cost. My 'big' project is only 5% in to planning and will no doubt take quite some time to finish xD.

I fall with the Majority between 0-10%. I've really only written down the story, fleshed out ideas, and world built. Projects I've had before I had the mind set of having completed soon. This project I know will take me years. I am ready for it. Once I have my hands on MV, I will start map building, finish writing out story outline, amongst other things. I would like to balance between everything to keep my mind fresh and attentive.

Well my new project has the entire outline of the story, a title, synopsis and a few other things.  Given a week and no impediments and considering the size of the project, 15% at best.

Between 0% and 10%. Really given the question i don't see any other option being really viable - at least for bigger RPGs - as 24 hours isn't really that much. For my simple project i plan to do first i have the basic plot down (including small notes on the major cutscenes) a basic idea about the dungeons and the general layout of the maps. But the characters still need a bit of planning as i don't have any skill-ideas yet.

All in all there is still a lot to be done. I would be happy if i can finish that game this year, but i doubt that it's possible.

I'd say around 50% when it comes to the story and characters and I'm planning the bestiary now, I might change how my characters looks though since I hated VX Ace's Face Generator and I'd to go to Soramani for the facesets.

Ideas and concepts are in my head and somewhat on paper... I have been making stuff in Ace and (thanks to Shaz) MV has an import thingie that will move stuff from one to another so at least that saves me from having to redo everything that I have already accomplished in Ace.

Although with how much I have planned out, I feel like it could be this time next year that things will finally be finished >.<

For me I would have to say 5-7% at best. I have a lot of ideas on story, characters and systems I would like to create. Unfortunately they are scattered around my mind and some on paper/text documents...Add in my learning about JavaScript and trying to keep focused on my character rigging class at Full Sail University...Oh, and let us not forget the inability to go without sleep for long.

I developed all of the playable characters, their stats and movesets, and also some of the monster only skills. I know what I want to make, but I don't want to make the entire game in advance before release. Maybe 5% if I had to throw out a number. I don't plan for this to be a very big project.

Let's see... My worldbuilding and recent history are all complete (alternate history American Frontier with superpowers). The mechanics for skills and the like are already fleshed out. I have the main protagonist and a few side characters ready, complete with their side story arcs. Even have a bit of the map design down on paper.

I just need to prep assets, flesh out the story scenarios, and work on the dialogue scripts :D I'll probably be doing a lot of that through NaNoWriMo.

I'm aiming for an episodic series, myself. Each one with a more or less contained story lasting a few hours, but with an overarching plot that ties them together. Best of both worlds ;)

Do you think that episodic is a bit harder to do because theres a lot of commitment and time to put in?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
